Nuages noirs is a series in which Hugo Bel questions his own artistic journey, attempting to put a piece of his sculptural universe behind glass.
Nuages Noirs are works that bring spaces into dialogue. Like the cave drawings, reminiscent of the use of coal, the black clouds play with the reliefs and create illusions of depth.
Plaster and charcoal respond to each other, above and below, white and black, smooth and grainy, controlled or letting go.
